Chantelle qualified as a nurse from King’s College London in 2012. She has over 12 years’ experience working in community settings, providing care to patients with a range of long-term conditions.
Her career has included roles in district nursing and oncology, before moving into general practice nursing in 2020. Since then, Chantelle has developed a specialist interest in asthma management and holds a diploma in asthma care. She is also an independent nurse prescriber and a Queen’s Nurse, reflecting her commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
Chantelle joined Birmingham City University as a Visiting Lecturer in General Practice Nursing in 2022, and took up a permanent lecturing role at the beginning of 2024. She currently leads the Foundation for Immunisation training and is module lead for Professional Issues and Quality Improvement, supporting nurses who are new to general practice.
Her teaching and research interests include preventative medicine, chronic disease management, recruitment and retention in general practice nursing, and quality improvement within primary care.
