Pace University Summer School

The Summer School allows you to take your studies beyond the classroom with an exciting international learning experience in one of the world's most dynamic cities and experience Law and Social Justice in the heart of New York City.

Exclusively available to students within the University’s School of Law and Social Sciences, the Law and Social Justice Summer School combines academic study, experiential learning and cultural exploration in New York City.

Delivered in partnership with the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in New York, the programme gives you the opportunity to engage directly with the people, places and institutions that shape law, justice and public life. Through seminars, field visits and cultural experiences, you will deepen your understanding of law and social justice while developing the global outlook and professional skills valued by employers.

Students within the School of Law and Social Sciences can apply for the Summer School during the second year of their undergraduate degree.

The application process includes a short-written application followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.

Successful applicants typically travel to New York in June for a 10 to 12-day programme.

You'll be supported by an experienced academic team throughout your Summer School journey.

Before travelling, you'll take part in a bespoke preparatory programme designed to help you make the most of the experience. You’ll also be assigned an academic mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the programme.

All successful applicants receive a Social Justice Scholarship worth over £2,000 from the School of Law and Social Sciences.

The scholarship covers:

• Accommodation
• Programme fees at Pace University
• Breakfast and lunch on programme days
• Academic sessions and workshops
• Organised activities and field visits included in the programme

Students are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel to and from New York and covering personal expenses, including visa costs where applicable.
