Kellie Maguire

Lecturer in Law
Kellie is a Qualified Solicitor and a Lecturer in Law. Kellie has extensive experience in practice, having acted on behalf of Claimants and Defendants in Personal Injury litigation during her professional career.
Immediately, prior to joining BCU, Kellie was employed for 12 years with DAC Beachcroft where she acted on behalf of insurers and their commercial insureds. Kellie specialised in defending Employers Liability and Public Liability Large Loss Injury claims where fraud was suspected. Kellie also has experience of pursuing Committal Proceedings for Contempt of Court.
Throughout her career, Kellie has designed and delivered a wide range of training to insurers and fellow Lawyers, including in relation to litigation strategy, the Civil Procedure Rules, Legal Practice and Fundamental Dishonesty in Personal Injury litigation.
Kellie teaches on the LLB and on the LLM in Legal Practice and prepares students for employment in the legal sector, using the skills and knowledge that she has acquired during her years in practice.
