Stephen Carr

Steve is a clinically current Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with experience in the military, emergency services, and healthcare. Since earning a First-Class Honours Degree in BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice from Birmingham City University, he has worked across both NHS and private theatre environments in Anaesthetics, Recovery, and Scrub. As a qualified Surgical First Assistant, he possesses broad experience in orthopaedic and general surgery. In previous lives, Steve spent 12 years in the Royal Navy as a helicopter mechanic and 22 years full-time in the Fire & Rescue Service, where he gained extensive experience in emergency response, leadership, technical rescues, and casualty management, as both an operative and an instructor.
