Dr Joseph Ifeolu Orisaleye

Dr Joseph Orisaleye is a Senior Lecturer in Design Engineering at Birmingham City University. His teaching and research interests span mechanical engineering design, manufacturing engineering, renewable energy, and sustainable materials.

He has over 18 years of experience in higher education, having previously held academic positions at the University of Lagos and Lagos State University in Nigeria, where he taught a wide range of mechanical engineering courses. He also currently holds an Honorary Research Associate position at the Durban University of Technology, South Africa, supporting his ongoing international research collaborations.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Production) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, specializing in engineering design and optimization, and another in Agricultural Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, focusing on bioenergy and sustainable resource utilization.

An active researcher, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several academic journals. His work contributes to advancing knowledge in engineering design, renewable energy, and sustainable materials.
