Dr. Chien-Ling Lo

Dr Chien‑Ling Lo joined BCU in June 2025 as a Lecturer in Real Estate. Prior to this appointment, she served as a University Teacher at the University of Sheffield from 2022 to 2025. She completed her PhD at University College London in January 2023.

Before entering academia, Dr Lo built a substantial professional career in the English public sector as a property surveyor. She has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), specialising in commercial property, since 2009.

Drawing on more than a decade of professional experience as a Chartered Commercial Surveyor (MRICS), she brings a practice‑informed perspective to her academic work. Her research often bridges policy, valuation, and real‑world asset management challenges, with a strong commitment to generating insights that support evidence‑based decision‑making.
