Dr Joseph Nana Gyamfi
Dr. Joseph Nana Gyamfi is a Lecturer in Economics at Birmingham City University with over four years of higher education teaching experience. His expertise spans macroeconomics, microeconomics, applied economics, econometrics, sustainable development, and international business. He completed his PhD in Economics at Nottingham Trent University, where his research examined foreign direct investment, economic growth, unemployment, and environmental policy in Europe.
Joseph has taught at Birmingham City University, Nottingham Trent University, and Kaplan International, delivering modules in Macroeconomics, Industrial Economics, Quantitative Methods, Sustainable Development, and International Business, while also supervising undergraduate research projects and mentoring students.
Joseph’s professional background includes managerial roles in finance, energy, and retail in Ghana, enriching his teaching with practical insights.
Recognized as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and recipient of awards such as the NTU Vice Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship and the NTU Thinkubator Challenge Award, he is dedicated to research, teaching excellence, and student success.
