Milad Mohtadi is a Technician in Digital Technologies within Architecture and Built Environment at Birmingham City University. He supports students and staff in the practical application of digital technologies across architecture, construction and the built environment, with expertise in BIM, immersive technologies, digital visualisation, reality capture and digital fabrication.

His work includes supporting the use of software and technologies such as Revit, Navisworks, Lumion, VR/AR, laser scanning, 3D printing, IoT devices and related digital workflows. He contributes to practical teaching, demonstrations, workshops and student project development, helping students translate emerging technologies into applied solutions for the built environment.

Milad has multidisciplinary academic qualifications spanning architectural engineering, architecture and construction project management, together with a postgraduate qualification in learning and teaching. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His current doctoral research focuses on developing an immersive virtual reality platform for architectural education, exploring how interactive 3D model-based simulations can enhance experiential learning and complement physical site visits. His wider interests include digital twins, BIM automation, computational design, immersive learning, digital fabrication and technology-enhanced education.
