With a background in Real Estate Surveying and Valuation, Ijeoma began her career at Covenant University in Nigeria from 2014 to 2017. During this time, she held a lecturing position where she taught various modules. Alongside her teaching duties, she also took on elected and mandatory administrative tasks, mentoring, and research. Her research efforts resulted in several collaborative academic articles.

Before her time at Covenant University, Ijeoma worked as a trainee estate surveyor for two years as part of her required professional competence test. After completing the test, she became a qualified associate member of The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), allowing her to practice as an estate surveyor and valuer in Nigeria.

In 2017, Ijeoma received a studentship offer at the University of Reading, where she is currently completing her doctoral studies. Her research examines the social value of investing in housing quality in the United Kingdom, specifically in housing quality, agency, and mental well-being. Her research aims to contribute to social policies concerning the delivery of social housing.

Ijeoma has also collaborated on research projects on healthy housing, well-being, and the urban environment, allowing her to engage in cutting-edge research, collaborate with relevant partners, and continuously measure her personal growth and performance. In 2023, she received a Higher Education Academy (FHEA) Fellowship.

As an early career researcher and educator, Ijeoma is a skilled leader, communicator, and team player. Her ambition is to become a well-published researcher in real estate and the urban environment, with a particular interest in themes such as well-being and social valuation, healthy housing and sustainability, planning in the urban environment, mainstream technologies, and education.

Ijeoma has taught several modules including Advanced Valuation, Property Management and Property Asset Management, Residential Portfolio.
