Dr. Heba Iskandarani is the Course Lead for the Architectural Technology course at Birmingham City University. She has extensive experience in teaching, module leadership, and integrating professional practice into the curriculum. Her expertise spans architectural design, architectural technology, construction detailing, project management, and design studio pedagogy. She actively engages with industry partners to provide real-world learning opportunities for students, bridging academic study with practical application. 

Dr. Iskandarani’s research focuses on post-conflict housing, community-appropriate reconstruction, disaster resilience, recovery planning, and holistic reconstruction management. She is also Co-Chair of the Damage Assessment Sub-Community of Practice within the Global Shelter Cluster, contributing to international knowledge-sharing and policy development in humanitarian reconstruction. Through her teaching and research, she contributes to advancing resilient and innovative solutions in the built environment.
