Five free online resources to help your mental health

These resources are completely free to use if you are looking for support with your mental health. Remember, current students can always reach out to BCU's Mental Health and Wellbeing Team for support.

1. BCU Wellbeing app

Download the BCU Wellbeing app and meet Charley, your personal Wellbeing Coach. Charley can help you with day-to-day, one-on-one support to help you increase productivity, and live a healthy and positive lifestyle. Charley can also provide information and tools to help address concerns such as anxiety, stress, managing emotions, confidence and more.

2. Headspace

As a BCU student, you can sign up to meditation and mindfulness app Headspace for free with your BCU email address. They have hundreds of free sessions to help calm your mind.

3. Student Space

From Mental Health charity Student Minds, Student Space provides expert information and advice to help you through the challenges of student life.

Get free, confidential support over webchat from a trained volunteer, from 4 - 11pm every day.

4. Kooth

Kooth is an online mental wellbeing community with helpful articles, discussion boards, a daily journal and emotion tracker, and a live chat function.

5. Samaritans

Samaritans offer support 24/7, 365 days of the year. You can get in touch about anything which is troubling you, no matter how big or small. For the quickest response, it’s best to phone on their free phone number, but they also have a free self-help app, which you can access via their website.
