The SafeZone check-in feature allows you to share your location with Security when working alone, studying late or entering higher-risk areas. It helps the Security team to locate and assist you more quickly if support is needed.

The Check-In feature is available at all SafeZone Alliance locations, if you have opted into the Alliance agreement within the app.

If you are working alone, out of hours or conducting high risks tasks on campus, you can set a check-in timer. If you have not cancelled the timer before it goes off, an emergency alert will be sent to Security.

When on campus: Security will message you within the app. If you do not respond, they will call you. If you still do not respond, a Security officer will be dispatched to your location. 

When off campus: The app will direct you to call Emergency Services (999). The app will provide you with your current location coordinates to inform Emergency Services.

No. Emergency alerts can only be raised by registered users.

If you accidentally press any SafeZone alert button, you can cancel the alert by tapping the button again while the “timer” is winding down. After the alert has been sent, you can still cancel your request, but you will be contacted by Security to ensure you are safe. Please answer their call or message to confirm you are okay.

No. It only shares your location when you use the Emergency, First Aid and Check in options.
