Our Virtual Postgraduate Open Event is designed to help you find out about our research opportunities and get expert advice from current staff and students.

Who is this for?

It’s open to everyone, but it’s definitely for you if you:

 Want to study a postgraduate course at a modern university in a major city: We’re at the heart of the UK’s second-largest city with a population of over 1.1 million people – over 85,000 of which are students at the city’s five universities (West Midlands Growth Company 2021). Birmingham is also the youngest major city in the UK, with under-20s accounting for 28% of its population (ONS 2020).

 Are an international student wanting to study a PhD in the UK: Our international team will be on hand to answer your questions about funding, applications and the process you'll need to follow as an international applicant.

 Want to study in ultra-modern facilities and learning spaces: We have invested £400 million in our facilities, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus.

 Are a friend, family or carer of someone who’s considering a place at university: You’re very welcome to come along and experience the event.

 Get your questions answered: If you have any additional questions about finance, applications or other aspects of life as postgraduate research student at BCU, you'll have the chance to ask our staff at this virtual event.
