What is an Offer Holder Day?

An Offer Holder Day is more in-depth than an Open Day and gives you a more tailored experience. You'll find out more about your course and hear about the student experience through taster sessions and opportunities to meet academic staff and current students. You will also have an opportunity to view our accommodation and chat to our support services.

If you have already been to an Open Day, this is your chance to explore your course and subject area in more detail and if not, you'll get an in-depth introduction to studying here.

You are welcome to bring one guest with you to an Offer Holder Day – and we provide a special programme of activities for parents and carers (outlined in the schedule below). We know that parents and carers have lots of questions and concerns about what university life is like, so we have provided dedicated time for them to get the information they need.

For the second session, you will have the chance to be inspired by our academics and other students. We will break out into small groups in a tutorial-style session, looking at the work from the morning session, reflecting how you’ll be taught if you choose to study at BCU. Our academics will work closely with you to understand your unique approach and provide feedback on your work and ideas, allowing you to develop further as a creative individual.

If you’d like to, please feel free to bring a piece of your creative work from school or college, or work that has inspired you, to this session for additional feedback and discussion. Examples of what you could bring include:

  • Digital screenshot or link to your favourite Instagram, Pinterest or TikTok account
  • A physical object or item
  • A physical piece of school or college work – such as sketches, drawings, designs etc
  • A page from your sketch or ideas book – this could be something you have done at home or in school/college
  • A photograph – this could be shown as a physical photo or on your phone
