Your submitted artwork must be an original and belong fully to yourself. Artwork must be able to go on a wall. It could be a textile, a photo, a collage,

Artwork may represent one of the following themes:

• Studying at Birmingham City University
• Championing support
• The community of Birmingham
• Health, Education and Life Sciences
• Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment
• Arts, Design and Media
• Business, Law and Social Sciences

• Entrants must submit the artwork using the button above.
• Artwork will be accepted in the following formats:  GIF, JPEG or PNG only.
• Artwork must not contain any abusive, offensive, or obscene imagery. Any work containing such imagery will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
• Artwork must be able to be displayed on a wall and be no bigger than 36 inches X 48 inches or equivalent.
• Artwork must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Monday 27 November 2023.
• Winners will be decided on by a panel made up of Faculty Student Centre Staff.

Four runner-up and four winner Prizes will be won, selected by an independent panel. Runners up will receive one £20 Love2Shop voucher.

The winners will receive a £50 LovetoShop Voucher and are guaranteed to get their artwork displayed. 

• By entering the competition the entrant (“artist”) accepts these terms and conditions and hereinafter and the entrant further accepts that the terms and conditions of this competition may be altered, amended, varied or otherwise modified by the company at any time up to and including the final determination of the competition and that such alteration, amendment or variation may be made orally or in writing and at all times the terms and conditions are at the sole discretion of Birmingham City University.
  The competition shall open at 7am on Monday 23 October 2023 and shall close at 11:59PM on Monday 27 November. Entries received after this date and time shall not be considered for entry under any circumstances. Birmingham City University reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to extend the Closing date of the competition for a reasonable period and where so extended the date upon which the Company decide to be the subsequent closing date shall be the closing date for the purposes of these terms and conditions.
• The submitted entry (the “Work”) must be original.
• All entered work must have been completed within the last 3 years. The work selected for exhibition must be available until 20 December 2024. While the company shall endeavour to provide advance notice to all entrant with respect to key dates and timelines, the company reserves the right to make such alterations and changes to key dates as are reasonably necessitated.
• Work that does not fit within the Conditions of Entry will not be admissible and will not be considered.
• The competition is open to individuals based in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Entrants must be 16 or over. Birmingham City University reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner in their absolute discretion for any reason and without notice.
• One winner will be chosen by an independent
• Winners will receive one £20 Love2Shop Voucher. The prize is as stated, and no alternative, cash or other will be offered.
• The winners will be announced on Monday 4 December.
• Winners will be contacted via email to the one submitted.
• The decision of Birmingham City University will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The winners must be able to accept the prize by 9am on Monday 11 December and if the entrant fails to do so the prize will lapse. In such circumstances the winner will not be entitled to any other form of payment in cash or in kind from Birmingham City University.
• These competition rules and this competition are governed by English law.
• We reserve the right to remove any entry without prior notice or warning and amend the competition end date and rules at any time.
