Visiting Fellow in Forensic Psychology

Dr Rahul Jalil is a Senior Researcher at Ministry of Justice, UK. and a Chartered Psychologist. He is a Visiting Fellow (formerly Lecturer) in Forensic Psychology. Prior to joining Birmingham City University, Rahul had worked in secure settings: Her Majesty’s Prison Service (HMPS) and the National Health Service (NHS). He has also worked at British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) in a research capacity role.

Rahul is interested in the application of forensic psychology to advance policy and practice for police, courts, prisons, and secure mental health services. As such, Rahul welcomes engagement with relevant stakeholders, establishments and services.
