Jonathan Jackson

Jonathan Jackson is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Policing and Security Studies at the School of Social Sciences and specialist in the Police Education Qualification Framework. He holds a MSc in Homeland Security from the University of Northumbria.  

Jonathan has over 15 years of research and teaching experience, working in both the UK, Europe and Southeast Asia. His main interests include the history and development of war and conflict, policing and the factors which influence public perception on policing.  

Jonathan’s research on international conflict and war crimes investigations has been presented in both the UK and US. He works closely with local and national police forces, the military and prison service on a number of research projects and as a critical friend.
