Re-imagining and Reclaiming Adult and Further Education Congress
Annual research event
About the congress
Bringing together academics, researchers, practitioners and students from higher, adult and further education settings, the Reimagining and Reclaiming Adult and Further Education Congress is an annual opportunity for all adult further education practitioners to come together to explore the key issues that colleges face.
Our 2025 Conference
Our congress in 2025 brought together academics, researchers, practitioners and students from higher, adult and further education settings to look at some of the burning issues in the field, to discuss existing research and to plan more.
The Congress was aimed at encouraging teachers and practitioners from Adult and Further Education colleges to join others in talking about the issues that are having an impact on their work, with a view to taking part in practitioner research. To demystify the research process, participants engaged in discussions and shared experiences to gain an overview of the issue. With guidance from experienced researchers, they then collaborated on active research into the topic.
The Congress was organised around five thematic strands that resonate with some of the current issues in education: Intensification of work. Find out more below about the thematic strands.
