Ana’s Practice as Research PhD is situated between The School of Art and The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire at Birmingham City University. Ana’s research centres around affect, embodied installation and the commonplace aural landscapes that we live within, it is concerned with affecting experience created using re-mediated gathered material.

Ana is a Birmingham based artist, recent exhibitions include; ‘Haecceities and Quiddities’ site specific sound works for Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art 2019, Elements # 1 and #2. Strix Birmingham. May and June 2019. Followed by a single channel Video version shown at Warwick Art Centre February 2019. Ana has a background in devising and delivering education programs and working with participatory practice, she co-directed The Bond Gallery an ACE funded artist run space in Digbeth, Birmingham in the 1990’s and is currently Senior technical demonstrator at Birmingham School of Art in video and sound installation practices.
