Birmingham City University to host summer of research events


Festival for PhD students at Birmingham City University

Birmingham City University PhD students will get the chance to showcase their research this summer, with a series of exciting events set to take place across the University in July.

Present your work

RESFEST, taking place from Tuesday 2 – Wednesday 3 July, offers postgraduate researchers (PGRs) from across all four faculties the opportunity to present their work. The theme for this year’s event is ‘transforming the future’, with PhD students encouraged to submit work based around the associated themes of people, places, policy and practice. PGRs can present their work via either a 15-minute presentation, a poster or a three-minute soapbox presentation.

The research events offer an amazing opportunity for PhD students to meet, network and explore opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaborations on research or enterprise initiatives. There will also be a prize for best presenter.

The deadline to submit an abstract for RESFEST is Monday 20 May. If you are interested in participating, email your submission to blss.pafa@bcu.ac.uk. More information on the event and the requirements can be found on iCity.
