PARDES - new song and music video supported by the project
'Pardes' is a song narrating pain, longing and hope to meet the lover again. It invokes a situation where we could all see ourselves longing for a glimpse of our beloved. The song is a blend of Hindustani ragas mixed with western sounds, while keeping intact the essence of Sufism in it.
'Pardes' was originally written and composed in 2015 by Saurav Sharma. Later, it was released on 25th June 2022 at the 'India-UK Creative Industries at 75' project's Live Performance showcase event in collaboration with Birmingham City University, PGDAV College, University of Delhi, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and Innovate UK.
