Lauren Haddock-Robbins
Lauren Haddock-Robbins joined Birmingham City University in 2015 and has since established herself as a dedicated member of the Law School. She is currently the Module Leader for the Level 7 Understanding Legal Knowledge 2 module, where she specialises in business law and contract law. Alongside this, Lauren leads the Level 6 Advanced Mooting module, supporting students in developing their advocacy skills and preparing them for the realities of legal practice.
Throughout her career at Birmingham City University, Lauren has held a range of senior academic leadership positions. She has served as Academic Lead for Access and Participation, driving initiatives to improve inclusivity, student attainment, and equity across the institution. In addition, she has taken on the role of Academic Lead for Learning and Teaching, contributing to the enhancement of pedagogical practices and ensuring alignment with institutional and sector-wide strategies.
Lauren has also been both Postgraduate and Undergraduate Course Leader, where she was responsible for overseeing curriculum design, delivery, and student experience. She has acted as Deputy Chair of Exam Boards, demonstrating her commitment to maintaining academic standards and ensuring fair and rigorous assessment processes.
Her expertise extends beyond her home institution. Lauren has external experience as an examiner, offering independent academic oversight, and has been actively involved in course validations, lending her subject knowledge and pedagogical insight to support the development and quality assurance of programmes elsewhere in the higher education sector.
