Contemporary Visual Arts Asia

Reimagining Asia through Contemporary Art

Building on our established track record in transcultural exchange, we are evolving the Centre for Chinese Visual Arts (CCVA) into Contemporary Visual Arts Asia (CVAA), expanding our research scope while maintaining our roots in China.

CVAA aims to generate new understandings and perspectives on contemporary art, design, and visual culture in Asia – particularly, in China, Japan and Korea – through interdisciplinary research and practice. Through an extensive network of regional and international partnerships, CVAA brings together artists, designers, curators and researchers to share expertise, facilitate exchange, and advance innovative modes of knowledge production within the globalised art world.
