Jon Raphael is a NHS Consultant with a research interest in pain. He founded the Pain Research Group in September 2007.
Jon is joint-head of the pain Masters' programme.

Research
Jon's research focuses around neuromodulation of pain using a variety of methods. These include brain imaging, neurophysiology, psychometrics and clinical trials.
He has worked on projects for National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), BUPA and industrial partner funds.
Jon's work has involved working with a team of post doctoral researcher, PhD students, MSc students and clinical fellows.
He has worked on collaborative projects with the Universities of Birmingham and Aston.
