Pamela Perks

Pamela has worked in health care since the eighties starting her career on a children’s ward. The majority of her career though has been in Critical Care working in a variety of settings and specialties at Grimsby, Leeds and Papworth hospitals before coming to Birmingham’s Major Injuries Unit in the early nineties.

Of all the specialities worked in her career, cardiac surgery and Trauma care are her favourite.

Pamela has always been interested in teaching and after enjoying her time as a senior nurse in Critical Care she became a clinical educator.  After spending ten years as an educator in Critical Care she joined the Trauma wards as their educator, preparing them for the upcoming major trauma status

Prior to starting at BCU in 2019, Pamela managed a small team of clinical educators delivering specialist teaching and training to registered and unregistered nurses.
