One of our graduates has been selected to contribute towards creating a new identity for the Royal Albert Hall. Eric Sui graduated from Birmingham City University in 1999, with a first class degree in BA (Hons) Visual Communication.

Eric now works as a Design Director for branding specialists BrandPie, who were selected to work on the first redesign of the Royal Albert Halls’ branding and identity since 2004. Originally from Mauritius, Eric has 15 years of experience in the design field and has been building his graphic design skills, working with renowned organisations since he graduated.

The new branding focuses on a new logo which will modernise the merchandise, programmes, tickets and banners for the Royal Albert Hall. This is an abstract form of the famous building, with concentric shapes layered in reds and oranges, reflecting the Victorian heritage.

Sarah Woods, director of external affairs at the Royal Albert Hall said: “The BrandPie team have created a logo that celebrates the Hall’s iconic shape and is extremely versatile and effective across all communication channels - print and online - allowing us to have a stronger visual presence.”
