Storm warning not expected to disrupt University activities

A storm bringing gale-force winds is expected to reach Birmingham early on Monday morning (28 October). The Met Office has issued an amber alert, which means "be prepared" for high winds in the West Midlands.

The University plans to operate its services as normal throughout the day – with buildings and libraries open in accordance with normal opening hours.

The situation remains under constant review and if necessary, we will be posting messages to keep students, staff and visitors updated.

Further information will be shared on our social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter and local radio (see links below). Messages will also be available on iCity or Moodle.

In case of emergency please contact University Security on 0121 331 6325 or 0121 331 6969.
