Candace Miller, Director at the National Skills Academy for Health said:

On receiving the award, Janet Ebanks, Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer for Health and Social Care at Birmingham City University said: “Being awarded the Skills for Health Quality Mark is an important achievement, and a genuine endorsement of the high quality learning and teaching that takes place within the Faculty of Health Education and Life Sciences and all of the Faculties across the University.

“What was particularly nice about the process, was the very positive feedback provided by students and Trust colleagues when asked about their own experiences of learning and collaborating with Birmingham City University.

“The Quality Mark was awarded following an in depth assessment of University and programme documentation, teaching observation and a visit by a Skills for Health’s Assessor of three Birmingham City University programmes. The three programmes assessed were:  FdSc Health and Social Care, BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography. The quality mark confirms to potential students and stakeholders within Health and Social Care that Birmingham City University is an excellent provider of education across different disciplines.”
