Birmingham City University Fine Art graduate and current PGCE student, Matthew Hill is set to attend a book signing this week of his recently published children's book – 'The Legend of Everwinter'.
'The Legend of Everwinter' tells the magical tale of three courageous companions who set out on a heroic journey to fulfil an ancient prophecy. The book includes exquisite full-colour illustrations that appeal to children and adults alike.
Matthew collaborated with his partner Tara to create the magical children's book which was recently published by Hampton Bond International.
Matthew and Tara will be signing copies of their book at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry on Friday 21 February. The event will begin at 11.30am with an exclusive reading of the book, which will be followed by a talk from Matthew about the illustrations, and followed by a question and answer session. There will also be the opportunity to view never-before-seen sketches that didn't make it into 'The Legend of Everwinter', as well the chance for visitors to get their books signed and copies available to purchase.
On the use of his illustrations, Matthew said: "I have always wanted my artwork to inspire others, and I am delighted that I have been able to use my artistic skills on such a rewarding project. Together we have created a book for children that not only promotes good morals, but also encourages children to appreciate art and reading, and to use their imagination."
The couple hope to continue creating inspiring and magical children's books in the future.
