One of the University's media experts has been named in a list of the 50 most powerful people in Birmingham. Lecturer, Paul Bradshaw, is a new entry at number 36 in the Birmingham Post's Power 50.
He joins the likes of NEC Group chief executive Paul Chandi and ex-minister and businessman Digby Jones, Lord Jones of Birmingham as one of the city's movers and shakers. Paul is one of the best-known thinkers in journalism on a global, not just national level and is regularly in demand as a media commentator. A specialist in new media, his Online Journalism Blog is one of the most highly-regarded sites on the subject in the world, and he has also contributed to books on the topic. Earlier this year Birmingham City University came in for global attention after launching a MA Social Media course.
Paul's' most recent project, Help Me Investigate, was launched earlier this summer after securing funding from Channel 4 and Screen West Midlands.
