Jewellery students shine at national award ceremony

Two students from the School of Jewellery have been recognised for their outstanding work by the world’s leading industry organisation for jewellers.

The Gemmological Association of Great Britain awarded second year HND Gemmology student Julia Griffith the Bruton Medal after she earnt the highest marks in the diamond examinations.

In addition, Dr Gowry Simon won both the Hirish Foundation Award and Anderson Medal in recognition of being the best candidate in the foundation exams. Julia and Gowry beat over 300 students from across the world to win the awards which were presented at the Goldsmith Hall in London.
