Build the foundations of your career at University open evening

Birmingham City University is offering those interested in a future career in housing the opportunity to find out more about courses available at a dedicated open evening next week.

Being held on Tuesday July 13th from 4-7.30pm at City North Campus in Perry Barr, there will be the opportunity to talk to the Housing and Community Studies Division team in a friendly and informal way, as well as view facilities, flexible study areas, resources and support that the University offers.

In addition, visitors can tour the campus and facilities, hear about the success stories of previous students and gather information on all aspects of the University.

Veronica Coatham, Head of Division of Housing and Community Studies, said: “If you like working with people and want a career with variety, challenge and opportunity then a career in housing could be right for you.

“Maybe you already work in housing or are active in community involvement? Have you considered how you could progress your career in a field where jobs and opportunities are still available for capable and qualified people?”

Birmingham City University is a major regional centre for housing education and community studies with a national reputation for the quality and relevance of its courses. programmes are professionally recognised by either the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) or the Environmental Health Registration Board.

New for this year is the launch of the FdA/BA in Sustainable Communities course in partnership with Staffordshire University. This course will be of interest to students seeking a more community focussed qualification and membership of the CIH (subject to approval). In addition The MA Housing course has recently been reapproved and includes modules on Customer excellence and working with communities.
