The lucky winners of Birmingham City University’s Golden Ticket Competition, returned to the University in December to meet Vice-Chancellor Professor Cliff Allan at a specially arranged afternoon tea.
The three winners, who were selected randomly as part of a competition launched at the University’s November Open Day, were treated to a VIP pass, allowing access to a host of exclusive university offers.
The prospective students met with individual course tutors to find out more about their chosen course and what it’s like to study at Birmingham City University, before embarking on their own VIP tour of the University’s new multi-million pound Curzon Building, which opens to staff and students in September 2015.
16 year-old Georgina Corbett, who was interested in studying Midwifery said: “The VIP Golden Ticket day was a brilliant experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. I learnt a lot more about the course and what’s involved, and tips for writing my personal statement for when I come to apply later in the year.”
