To help celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema, Birmingham City University is today (Monday 10 June) welcoming critically acclaimed Bollywood film actor and producer, Abhay Deol.
Taking place at the Giant Screen at Millennium Point, the celebrated Indian actor will be talking about his life and career, taking questions from the audience and followed by a screening of his contemporary love story, Dev D.
‘Abhay Deol in Conversation’ forms part of the 16-day Birmingham Made Me Design expo, running until 21 June to celebrate the iconic brands and products made in the West Midlands.
The Birmingham Made Me showcase is led by Birmingham City University, in partnership with inward investment agency Business Birmingham and Birmingham City Council, and has converted the University’s modern city centre campus into a giant, interactive exhibition space.
'Abhay Deol in Conversation’ also forms part of The Bollywood 100 in Birmingham festival which will capture the glitz, glamour, music, dance, drama and style of one of the biggest film industries in the world, with a lively city-wide programme of arts and culture events throughout June.
