A member of the University's School of Media is organising an online music archive that celebrates Birmingham's popular music heritage.
Birmingham Music Archive highlights the music that has come out of the city over the past four decades. Often shadowed by cities such as Manchester and Liverpool, visiting tutor Jez Collins is hoping the archive will promote pride in the city's musical past. He wants to hear from anyone with musical memories of Birmingham, whether you were in a band, were at school with a famous musician, ran a music venue or just went to concerts.
