Birmingham City University student celebrates success in regional creative competition

A graphic design student from Birmingham City University is celebrating after being announced as one of the winners of a creative talent competition.

20 year old Visual Communication student, Jenny Middleton from North Wales is a second year student at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and was one of the lucky winners in the regional BHIVE competition, in the Digital category. Following her entry for Visit Birmingham’s summer campaign, Jenny has secured work placements with several leading companies including LHM Media, Made Media and Cogent.

Jenny said: “I entered the BHIVE competition in March 2012. I’d never heard of it before and hate to think that I nearly missed out. BHIVE has provided me with some invaluable experiences, the most valuable being work placements at some of the Midlands leading creative agencies. I encourage all creatives to enter BHIVE and support Birmingham’s creative industry.”

Each year BHIVE bring together Birmingham’s leading creative agencies and brands, allowing young marketing, design, PR and digital hopefuls the opportunity to present to the industry’s most successful professionals.
