Birmingham School of Acting will be opening its doors to budding actors this August for a two-week summer course.
Beginning on Monday 4 August, the course will focus on developing acting skills through a range of workshops, leading to a rehearsal period in the second week and culminating in a performance to family and friends on the final evening of the course.
Michael Allen, visiting lecturer at Birmingham School of Acting (BSA), part of Birmingham City University, said: "Attendees at the acting summer course will experience voice and relaxation classes, aspects of physical theatre and an introduction to working with Shakespeare as well as modern text.
"Students will also look at how to build characters, as well as learning how to apply improvisation and devising techniques in order to develop drama."
The acting summer course costs £550 plus booking fee and also includes a visit to a professional theatre to see a production.
