BCU has risen 25 places and is ranked in the top half of universities in Europe, according to the latest QS World University Rankings.
The university is ranked 393rd out of 958 institutions in the 2026 QS World University Rankings: Europe, placing us higher than 59% of European universities.
BCU performed particularly strongly in the following areas:
- Ranked in the top 250 universities out of 958 institutions for citations per faculty
- 22nd out of 129 institutions in the UK for inbound exchange students
- 34th out of 129 institutions in the UK for outbound exchange students
The rankings measure the performance of universities against their research, employability and outcomes, learning experience, global engagement and sustainability.
Professor David Mba, Vice-Chancellor of BCU, said: "Thanks to the hard work of the BCU community, we have risen an impressive 25 places in the QS World University Rankings: Europe.
"Our research, teaching, employability and sustainability play a vital role in our Strategy 2030, and our latest ranking proves that we are becoming an exemplar anchor institution."
