Birmingham City University and the Aziz Foundation have joined forces to offer scholarships to British Muslims wishing to study for a Master's degree in Media Production, Journalism and Public Relations.
Three scholarships are available in the following subjects: MA Media Production; MA Data Journalism; and MA Public Relations.
Dr Zain Sardar, Programme Manager at the Aziz Foundation, welcomed the joint venture and praised BCU’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Dr Sardar said: "Birmingham City University has been exceedingly adept in accommodating British Muslim students on campus. This is deserving of a strong commendation.
“These new scholarships that BCU will deliver in partnership with the Aziz Foundation, covering Master's courses in Media Production, journalism and public relations, further cements the University as a beacon of inclusivity in the sector."
Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dean Hughes, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media, added: "We are delighted to be working with the Aziz Foundation.
“Birmingham City University prides itself on being diverse and inclusive, so programmes like this are extremely important and hugely beneficial. We look forward to welcoming the students to the BCU family."
The Aziz Foundation will fund 80% of each scholarship, with BCU providing the remaining 20%.
