Comedian Frank Skinner, who holds an Honorary Doctorate from Birmingham City University, is to visit the city for another tribute. A plaque dedicated to him on the Walk of Stars on Broad Street is going to be unveiled on Saturday 1 August.
Frank, who grew up in Oldbury, studied English at the University before going on to become a household name. He made TV programmes such as Fantasy Football, The Frank Skinner Show, and Baddiel & Skinner Unplanned and had a number one hit with the football anthem ‘Three Lions', alongside David Baddiel and The Lightning Seeds. Frank's plaque will join those already awarded to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and sporting commentator Murray.
