Tom Garry, a freelance broadcast journalist for BBC Sport Online and local radio discussed with us about his time studying at Birmingham City University.
Tom graduated with a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism and now works freelancing for BBC Sport Online and many local radio stations including BBC Hereford & Worcester, BBC Radio Stoke and BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
Being a keen sport enthusiast, and qualified tennis coach, Tom was able to take his love of sport and apply it to journalism through his diploma.
