Scratch Radio successfully kicked off 2016 with their annual Two Week Takeover, and this fortnight of radio is packed full of shows, competitions and other online shenanigans.
The Two Week Takeover began on 11 January with the Breakfast Show from 8am with Amy Southall and Emma O'Brien. From then on Scratch Radio was taken over by radio students looking to be the next Chris Moyles or the next Fearne Cotton.
As for those competitions that will be running, here's what you can expect:
What's in the box?
Each morning one of 10 boxes filled with goodies worth up to £50 will be revealed on the morning breakfast shows and mentioned once an hour on daytime shows. All you have to do is tune in to find out how to win. The closing time for the competition will be at 4pm every weekday then at 4:30pm, the winner will be revealed. The boxes are: Back to Study, Student Essential, Food, Candy, Movie, Best of Birmingham, Festival, Game, Travel, and Treat Yourself.
Scratch Radio's street team will be doing a competition to give away a camera. The winner will be revealed on the last day of the takeover (Friday), who will be called up live on air.
A treasure hunt-esque competition will also be running during the takeover., where 24 clues will be hidden around university. If you pick them up and bring them to the Scratch office in Parkside, find a member of the street team, or send a photo of yourself to the @ScratchRadio on Twitter, you can win a prize. The prizes will be in the Scratch office, with numbers that correlate to the clues.
Plenty of things will be going on during the frantic Two Week Takeover so make sure to get involved and tune in to Scratch Radio from 8am every day to hear how it all goes down.
