Postgraduate students 'run' the NEC as part of the Events Week Live!

Twelve students from the MA Events and Exhibitions Management course attended a three-day event at the NEC last week as part of a joint initiative between the University and the NEC.

Events Week Live! took place between 4 and 6 December and coincided with the set up and build of the Clothes Show Live event. Student were also allowed behind the scenes access to Clothes Show Live as well as attending the first day of the show.

Developed by Michelle Adderley, Senior Events Producer at the NEC and Duncan Sedgwick, Senior Lecturer, MA Events and Exhibitions Management, Events Week Live! grew out of the expanding links between Birmingham City University and industry professionals and from the NEC Education initiative – a series of educational projects aimed at nurturing and developing events professionals of the future.
