Law lecturer features in Pulitzer Prize-winning author's new book

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Barry Siegel has included Senior Law Lecturer and Director of Mooting Sarah Cooper in his new non-fiction book 'Manifest Injustice: The True Story of a Convicted Murder and the Lawyers who Fought for his Freedom'.

Barry's new book documents the story of Bill Macumber, the US inmate who spent nearly 40 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. At the age of 77, Bill finally walked free after Sarah and a team of lawyers from the Arizona Justice Project fought tirelessly for his freedom.

In recognition of this impressive work, Sarah has also recently been shortlisted by the Birmingham Law Society as one of the finalists for the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award.
