Students from the University Mooting Society have continued their success by beating teams from some of the country's most prestigious universities.

In the first round of the Web Legal National Mooting Competition, held in the University's very own mock Magistrates courtroom, student mooters Emma Noble and Daniel Spilsbury secured an impressive victory over Warwick University students.

Meanwhile, in the Oxford University Press Mooting Competition, law students Ellis Isherwood and Susan Nasseri beat the Cambridge University team by a margin of 22 points.

Sarah Cooper, Senior Lecturer in Law, said: "Congratulations to Ellis and Susan on such a fantastic achievement, to win by 22 points is no mean feat!"

Sarah also congratulated the hard work and commitment of the University's External Mooting Managers Oliver Woodhouse and Diya Fathima.
