Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Health will be at the NEC this week for the annual Big Bang Fair which runs from Thursday 13 March – Sunday 16 March.
The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths in the UK and is aimed at promoting careers within these fields.
The Faculty of Health's stand will offer visitors a variety of hands-on activities aimed at improving their knowledge of the human anatomy, genetics, emergency care and potential health careers.
Amongst some of the activities on offer include resuscitation demonstrations, a fully operational ambulance available for visitors to explore and various other games and activities.
Professor Maxine Lintern, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to encourage young people to consider health care as a possible future career and we have lots of fun and exciting activities planned to help capture their imagination.
“We hope it will be very enjoyable for the visitors and that they will learn something about the human body and how we need to care for it."
