Second-year Fashion Business and Promotion student Tally Ventress has worked with Notion magazine to style a photoshoot of British filmmaker, singer-songwriter and model Florence Rose.
Notion is a popular culture magazine celebrating music, creative and cultural innovators, and encouraging inclusivity, collaboration and eclectic tastes. The magazine featured Florence Rose, who is described as “the 25-year-old It Girl”.
Tally was given the opportunity to join the style shoot, as part of a work placement in London, and received credit in both online and print versions of the magazine.
Tally said: "Assisting on the magazine shoot with Florence Rose was an amazing experience. The team involved in the shoot were big names in their industries, which made for a creative experience.
"I was looking after all the clothes. We were working with a lot of 1920s items of clothing, so steaming a 100-year-old dress that felt like tissue paper was a scary challenge!
“A lot of clothing was inspired by 1920s – 1940s clothing, with a hint of 18th century clothing with an Antoinette dress by French fashion designer Milla Giulia Badin.
“My work placement was working as a general studio assistant. I’m so grateful to have had this experience.”
