Harvey Nichols puts graduate designers in the shop window
University NewsLast updated 04 August 2023
Visitors to Birmingham’s Mailbox are having their heads turned by Harvey Nichols latest store window display after its ‘traffic stopping’ re-design by creative graduates from Birmingham City University (BCU).
Known for stocking high-end luxury brands, Harvey Nichols has collaborated with BCU fashion and jewellery graduates, selecting a range of their designs to feature in the store's special month-long display.
Claire Hewitt, General Manager at Harvey Nichols Birmingham, is confident the display will attract the attention of passers-by.
Showcasing their work will be BCU Fashion & Textiles graduates Safa Nasaar, Niah Thomas, Rachel Hunt-Pearce, Lauren Bolton and Charlotte Adams, alongside fellow creatives from the university’s renowned School of Jewellery, Augusta Lazenby, Xiao Hang and Ayshin Jalilzadeh.
Ayshin took inspiration from her own Persian culture when designing for the display.
Harvey Nichols will be displaying the graduates’ work throughout August, allowing Mailbox visitors to stop and muse at the intricate detail and skilled craftsmanship of the featured items.
