Wannabe superstars and Birmingham’s biggest divas are invited to step on stage and impress with their miming skills at a charity event held in the city this week, raising funds for St Basils.
The ‘Lip Sync Battle Birmingham’ contest, organised by a group of Fashion Business and Promotion students at Birmingham City University, will see one lucky winner walk away with a prize of £100 – all for proving they’re a master at matching their lip movements to song and putting on a show stopping performance.
Early bird tickets cost £5 and the event kicks off at 9pm on Friday 4 March at Alfie Bird’s & The Oobleck in Digbeth, with performances already confirmed on the night including songs by Madonna and Queen.
“St Basils are a local youth homelessness prevention charity who work across the West Midlands, providing support and accommodation to those in need. It's not just about giving them a place to live, it’s also about providing the skills to gain a better start at life as well as employment and education opportunities", added Bekky.
