Steve is an economist, business expert, lecturer and active researcher.

He closely follows and comments on a range of Government policy, with areas of interest that include manufacturing, construction and business, as well as research exploring the way small and medium-sized businesses make decisions about their futures – in particular, the ‘tipping points’ that determine a course of action.

He regularly provides comment or writes for national and regional press, including the BBC, the Birmingham Post and The Huffington Post.
